There is no question that Vincent van Gogh and Rembrandt van Rijn are amongst the greatest Dutch artists of all time. They and their work might seem world’s apart, over 180 years separated their lives after all. But on closer inspection, you’ll see that the works of the Dutch Baroque master and the world-renowned Post-impressionist painter are more similar than you might have think.

The Noorderkerk is a place they both visited in Amsterdam, as both attended Sunday services there. Now, the church helps to tell their story, as the ancient inner walls become a continuously changing 360° canvas and Van Gogh’s voice is heard in the church through his letters to his brother Theo.
